Crickets is one thousand live crickets lovingly serving up sound, energy, and space. Filmed in rural Illinois, the crickets are accompanied by frames of garden plants, a collection of petrified wood, and objects found by the artist on the family farm where he was staying this summer with his wife and young daughter. Music was improvised by the artist on an old family harpsichord with a view towards healing amidst a pandemic.
